Assignment 1:
I’ve always
found it interesting to think that people once did not know what the earth
actually looked like. People used to think it was flat, and had no perception
of what gravity was. This article interested me as well, as it explained the
beliefs of certain people and how they thought countries in the world were
arranged. Since I already understand how the earth is shaped and how countries
are arranged, it was hard for me to relate to or understand.
These maps
have always been the most interesting to me. Not because of the content, but
because of how aesthetically pleasing it is to look at, and how easy it is to
see each country. It is informative and beautiful, and one that I would love to
hang on my wall.
